Lemon balm extract factory
Our high quality botanical extract is obtained from carefully selected Melissa officinalis leaves, using state of the art extraction equipment. The yellow-brown to brown powder is fine and has excellent properties such as high water solubility and thermal stability which is not influenced by normal pasteurisation operations and does not affect its rich polyphenolic content. The extract is standardised for the active components and is available at 10:1 and 20:1 strengths, with its typical light lemon smell. The powder passes 100% through 80 mesh screens for consistent consistency for easy incorporation into several formulas.
Third-Party Test Report
Pesticide Residue Screening: All batches are screened for pesticides via a broad multi-residue pesticide screen in accordance with USP <561> standard, evaluated by third party authorised labs like SGS and Eurofins to guarantee agricultural contaminants stay below detectable levels.
Heavy Metal Testing: We use ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) to ensure that the Lead concentration is <3.0ppm, Arsenic <2.0ppm, Cadmium <1.0ppm and Mercury <0.1ppm, to meet strict international safety limits.
Microbiological Safety: The product was fully tested for microbiological contaminants and showed Total Plate Count <1000cfu/g and Yeast & Mould <100cfu/g. E.coli and Salmonella were confirmed absent, assuring the safety of the product for use as a dietary supplement.

Lemon Balm Extract Powder Advantages
Superior Water Solubility: Our extraction procedure yields a premium-grade powder designed for total water solubility and not lipophilic-only crude extracts. This feature makes it highly adaptable for liquid functional formulations, functional beverages and RTD applications where clarity and suspension stability are essential quality factors.
Thermal Processing Stability: The Lemon Balm Extract Powder has excellent heat stability and retains its polyphenolic integrity over typical pasteurisation cycles. The thermal stability allows the maker to use it in hot-fill beverage procedures and heated manufacturing methods without significant degradation of bioactive ingredients.
Lemon Balm Extract Powder Application
Neuro-Nutraceutical Formulations: The extract is used as a building block for relaxation and sleep support supplements, often in synergistic combinations with Valerian Root, GABA and L-Theanine. It inhibits GABA-transaminase, thus it is relaxing without the strong sedation you sometimes see with synthetics. This makes it a great addition to blends for stress reduction during the day.
Functional Beverage Systems: The powder may be easily utilised in functional teas, relaxing waters and mood support shots, thanks to its excellent water solubility and stability in acidic pH settings. It does not come to precipitation which often creates clarity problems and sediment accumulation in the beverage which is a common rejection criterion in RTD quality audits.

Production Process
Step 1 - Raw Material Sourcing: Professional agronomists at our certified planting bases select the mature leaves of Melissa officinalis during the optimal harvest time.
Step 2 - Cleaning and Preparation: Raw leaves are washed with purified water in many stages and then dried in a controlled environment to reduce moisture content.
Step 3 - Extraction: Food-grade solvents are used to treat the dried material in our proprietary extraction technology under rigorously controlled temperature and pressure parameters.
Step 4 - Concentration & Filtration: The liquid extract is vacuum concentrated and filtered via 0.45 micron filters in many stages.
Step 5 - Spray Drying: The concentrated extract is atomised and dried in our 100,000 level purification workshop with the latest spray drying technology.
Step 6 - Quality Testing: All batches are rigorously tested in our SGS laboratory for HPLC assay, heavy metals, pesticide residues and microbiological screening.
Step 7 - Packaging & Storage: Approved powder is packaged in double-layer PE bags inside fiber drums under climate-controlled conditions.
