What Is L-Isoleucine?

L-Isoleucine is one of the three necessary branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), with the other two being Leucine and Valine. Since your body can’t make it, it must to come from your diet or in the form of supplementation.

Production Process

Hongda’s L-Isoleucine is made via a proven microbial fermentation process:

1. Preparing the Substrate – A glucose from non-GMO maize (the carbon source for fermentation) is made.

2. Fermentation - Corynebacterium glutamicum strains are cultivated in a regulated temperature and pH environment.

3. Separation and Purification - Biomass is separated and amino acid is purified by ion exchange chromatography.

4. Crystallisation – High purity L-Isoleucine crystals are produced and dried.

5. Milling & Sieving - Controlled particle size to match mesh criteria (standard or 200-mesh micronised).

6. QC Testing – Each batch is fully COA tested prior to release. This includes HPLC purity, optical rotation, heavy metals and microbiological.
