The product is a state-of-the-art semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic synthesised from the hydrolysis products of tylosin, developed exclusively for veterinary use. This white to off-white crystalline powder possesses significant lipophilic characteristics, allowing for increased penetration into tissue, especially pulmonary systems. The active ingredient attaches to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, effectively inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible pathogens such as Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma species. Production Process

Step 2 - Selective Hydrolysis: The tylosin is hydrolysed under defined pH and temperature settings to remove the mycaminose sugar moiety to give desmycosin.

Step 3 - Semi-Synthetic Modification: Using patented chemical procedures, we chemically modify the C-20 aldehyde position, yielding the tilmicosin molecule with enhanced pharmacological properties.

Step 4 - Purification and Crystallisation: State-of-the-art chromatographic methods are used to remove impurities and reaction products and controlled crystallisation is performed to obtain pharmaceutical grade purity of > 99%.
